Glenwood Heights Primary Mission:

Learning for all in a caring and sharing community.

Smarter Balance Assessment

Third and fourth grade students at Glenwood will begin the Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA) May 9th. Students will take a series of four assessments over a few weeks, and because the test is now computerized, students can start and stop the exam more freely. This allows us to test in short chunks over a few days to minimize the impact of this exam on students and core curriculum.

Take a practice test with your student or take it yourself to see what’s going on. If you have questions, would like more information about the Smarter Balanced Assessment, or would like to support your student at home, go to http://wa.portal.airast.org/students-and-families/ or contact our school assessment coordinator, Damen Hermens, at hermens.damen@battlegroundps.org.
