Calling all third and fourth graders to the BGPS Future Chefs competition

Jan. 6, 2023

Does your child love to cook and create recipes? Check out Battle Ground Public Schools’ Future Chefs event. All BGPS third and fourth grade students are welcome to enter!

The event, in which students create original recipes and finalists compete in a culinary cookoff, helps to educate children and promote healthy eating habits.

This year’s recipe theme: Complete the plate with your favorite fruit or vegetable side dish!

Judging will be based on:

  • Originality
  • Kid friendliness
  • Ease of preparation
  • Healthy attributes
  • Plate presentation
  • Taste
  • Student chef presentation to judges

The competition is hosted by Sodexo, the district’s food services provider.
